Axe Cop comics
Any Axe Cop fans around here?
I've followed it since its early days and even worked on the character bios over there for a while. I haven't read the President of the World series yet, but I'm otherwise caught up on it.
What do you think of the latest marriage plot? Seems a bit slow but I'm hopeful that it leads to the same craziness older slow plots led to.

Re: Axe Cop comics
You might also like Dr. McNinja then. It's got the same crazy cool factor Axe Cop has and that's pretty much the reason they crossed over once.

I've heard the name thrown around, but I haven't checked it out yet. Guess I'll have to look into it!

Here you go:
http://www.atomic-robo.com/free-comics/
It's a bit more simplified in terms of production when compared to Axe Cop, but it's a very fun read...like nerdy, science loony toons. Are you familiar with 8-bit theater? The same guy writes Atomic Robo.

I did read 8-bit theater up to a point. I was archive binging late at night and I just never got around to finishing it. Looks like I have a new archive to look through!

Re: Axe Cop comics
Atomic Robo is one of the best comics being printed today! Each arc works as a stand alone story, and are available as full trades. Sadly, I find their funnier stuff to be in their FCBD works, thankfully it is more then a comedy series. Don't forget to pick up the spin off series, "Real Science Adventures," same writer, guest artists. Adds more context to some of the stories, including how Robo met Jenkins and why he is the toughest sum'bitch in it's Universe.
Re: Axe Cop comics
I totally agree, Carn, The FCBD stuff is totally funnier. But that comedy isn't lost in the regular series, I feel.
Ah, cool info about "Real Science Adventures." I'll check it out.
I also just want to say that Dr. Dinosaur from Atomic Robo might be the greatest character ever...just sayin.

Spot on article, Carn. I especially agree with reading Robo from Vol. 1. The narrative, jokes, and easter eggs continuously build from volume to volume, which is one of my favorite things about it.
