Saga's future... Empty Saga's future...

I mean, everyone generally agrees that Saga is a great comic.

But does anyone see it becoming stale in the future? Think BKV and Fiona Staples can keep it fresh without it becoming annoying or predictable?

I hear ya. It's one of those things where the story is really really cool and the characters are great and engaging, but if it never actually ends, it'll leave a sour note. All stories need to end.

How far are you in the series BTW?

BKV has mentioned it will have a similar run time to Y the last man and Ex Machina, so around 55-65 issues would be the estimate. I will be sticking with it to the end. Remember, for Fiona they are having a two month break every 6 issues, so she can keep up with all her work. Due to the events of the last book, BKV is in my dog house, and I am super keen for the next issue.

Wow, if they can keep it relevant and interesting for 55-65 issues, I'll be impressed.

My thing is I'm afraid it'll be forced to drag on so long that BKV will just start phoning the story in and it'll start feeling forced or artificial. However, I'm not worried about Staples' work suffering. She's an ace artist in my opinion and Saga would be lost without her.

And yea, the way the last book ended...wow. I'll stick with the title for as long as it's good.

3 months before new Saga. I completely forgot at the end of issue #12 that it would be going on break again. Saga withdrawals are the worst.
