Movies i recently watched.
This is a thread for everyone to use. If you recently saw a movie and want to share your thoughts this is the spot.
Re: Movies i recently watched.
I don't get to the cinema much these days, the most recent film I saw was the Hobbit actually, I watched the high frame rate 3D version and it looked incredible, I'm really looking forward to seeing more films in high frame rate to be honest.

I don't just mean on the big screen. I just bought the Lord of the Rings extended blu ray and have been watching the movies with the cast commentary on. Really enjoyable.

Actually I still think the Hobbit was the last film I saw! Have you seen the audio commentary for Conan the Barbarian? Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't seem to know how audio commentary works, it's brilliant:

I saw Pearl Harbor for the first time this week. My God, how I hated that movie! Such terrible characters, awful romance, and crappy dialogue. Good action though.

Last night I saw the Colin Farrell movie "London Boulevard." It's by the writer of the Departed. The cinematography was amazing, however it was a very slow paced, modern gangsta film set in London. Not as light hearted as a Guy Richie film, but enjoyable to myself and a friend, atleast.

Watching through Star Wars again. I didn't mind The Phantom Menace this time around even though it seems like everyone is acting bad on purpose.

I like the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, but I know there are huge problems with them and it is mostly visual spectacle that keeps them interesting.
I finally got around to seeing John Carpenter's The Thing. The suspense around who you can trust made for some awesome character interaction, and for the most part it avoided a lot of my expectations going in.
