Damian Wayne
So, how long do you think it will be until Damian is back to life? I would say he'll be back before the decade is out.

Believe it or not, I think he will return before Morrison's run is over. I not sure how many issue of Batman Inc. is left, but I can see his return on the last or second to last issue.

Re: Damian Wayne
That really irks me. If comic characters stayed dead, image how good it would be? Well not good, but effective.

I mentioned something similar to that in my review. There are so many deaths and characters don't stay dead for long so it all becomes frivolous.jimmihanful wrote:That really irks me. If comic characters stayed dead, image how good it would be? Well not good, but effective.

Re: Damian Wayne
I really hate to say this, but Marvel and DC are soap operas. In those shows like Bold & the beautiful people die and come back all the time. Occasionally killing off a character.
I do wish they would age characters a little faster also.

Re: Damian Wayne
Haha the problem is with franchises that have been around this long is that after so many years...what else is there to do?
"Kill Robin!"
"We did that..."
"Kill him again!"
If they really want his death and the after effects to mean anything, Damian should stay dead.
But then it becomes a struggles between good business sense (keep your franchise alive and relevant) and good writers...

Re: Damian Wayne
I like to adopt the philosophy that any big dramatic change that's made should be scrutinized by one question "Can you tell better stories with this change?"
To me, there is so much more potential in telling the story of Batman's son growing up into a man under Bruce's tutelage. It's not that having Robin die is a bad idea for a story, it just has been done before. Why would we back-pedal? And a temporary character death to generate short-term excitement just seems so beneath Morrison

Re: Damian Wayne
Only the good Robins die. Hopefully he comes back sooner rather then later, though I doubt he will return as Robin, but someone else.
Re: Damian Wayne
Duuuude, Ethan, that is such a better idea! If they had decided to show us Damian growing up and becoming an adult as opposed to just killing him, I would definitely have preferred that.
